Services
Every engagement starts with a consultation. In 60 minutes, we learn what you’re building and what’s in the way. Within two business days, you get a written plan. If you want our help carrying it out, we quote the work in writing first, as a flat fee.
Strategy
Where the business is going, and a plan you can follow to get there.
- Business strategy and a written plan with priorities
- Market and competitor research
- Business model design: what you sell, to whom, and how you make money
- Growth and expansion planning, including new locations and new markets
- Business plans
Formation and filings
You decide what kind of company you want. We handle the paperwork and the follow-through.
- Filing your LLC, corporation or nonprofit with the state
- Applying for your federal tax ID (EIN)
- Filing a business name (a “doing business as” name)
- Registered agent service, through our filing partner
- Annual reports and state renewals
- New York LLC publication, handled from start to finish
- Sales tax permit registration
- State filings to close a business
You make the decisions, and we file them. We don’t advise on which structure to pick or whether to close. That’s a question for a lawyer or tax professional. State fees are separate and shown on their own line.
Finance and capital
Lenders and grant programs ask the same questions again and again. We help you have the answers ready, and a business that can support the money.
- Opening your business bank account: what to bring, and how to compare accounts against the way you get paid
- A startup budget, a cash-flow plan and simple projections
- A pricing and margin check: what each sale costs you, and what you keep
- Setting up a simple bookkeeping system and a monthly routine to keep it current
- Building credit in your company’s name, including a business credit file and vendor accounts that report
- Capital readiness: how much you need, which kinds of financing to look at (loans, credit lines, grants), and what a lender will see when it looks at your business
- Loan and grant application packages: gathering your documents and the financial statements your bookkeeper or accountant prepares, and drafting the application answers
We charge flat fees for this work. We don’t take a percentage of any loan, grant or investment. We don’t arrange investments or sell securities. We don’t promise approval, an amount or a timeline. The lender or program decides.
Operations
The work that lets a business run without you in every room.
- Written procedures for the jobs you do over and over
- Who does what: roles, responsibilities and a hiring plan for what to fill first
- Project management for a new location, product or sales channel
- Finding suppliers and setting up vendors
- Choosing and setting up the software and automation your team runs on
Growth and government contracts
More of the right customers, and access to work that’s set aside for certified businesses.
- Brand strategy and a plan for finding customers
- A sales process your team can follow
- Partnerships, and getting set up to sell on marketplaces and wholesale
- Product strategy: what to add, cut or change
- Minority- and women-owned business certification applications (MWBE and WBE), from gathering documents to recertification
- Registration in government bidding systems, including SAM.gov and New York City and State portals (registering in these systems is free; our fee covers our help)
- Your capability statement: a one-page summary buyers ask for
- Finding subcontracting openings with companies that already hold contracts
The certifying agency makes the decision. We make sure your application is complete.
AI in your business
Your team is already using AI tools. We help you decide how, and write it down.
- Guidelines for staff: what can and can’t go into an AI tool
- A list of the AI tools your team uses, and what each one is used for
- Questions to ask before you buy an AI tool, and a way to compare them
- A rollout plan and staff training

What we don’t do
We don’t give legal, tax, accounting, investment or insurance advice. We don’t prepare tax returns, review or draft contracts, file trademarks for others, or arrange investments. When you need one of those, we’ll tell you to see a licensed professional.
